Hey guys!
So here is the first blog post dedicated to my upcoming Florentine adventures. I plan on using this blog as a way to keep you guys updated and connected during my time in Europe. I will be leaving Sunday, January 4th to embark on a semester abroad in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy. I get into Italy about 12 pm Monday (about 3 am for you guys). I will be coming back to the States May 27th.
During my time in Florence I will be staying in what the school calls it, a Pensione (Pen-see-ony) sort of like a bed and breakfast for the students studying abroad. There are about 150 kids studying abroad all separated into different pensiones around the school campus. I have been assigned two other roommates, one from Gonzaga, while the other comes from Pennsylvania, so excited to meet both of them.
Classes don't begin until the 12th, but before then we are going to be going on a trip to Rome sort of like an opening tour for us. ROME! I seriously cannot wait for that! We leave Thursday for Rome and get back Sunday. Woohoo! But before Rome, before meeting my roommates and even before leaving on Sunday, I should probably start packing.
Still have a lot of things I need to do before I leave, but feel free to shoot me an email, message me on Facebook, or follow me on Instagram (@emmaconley_). I will be posting lots and lots of pictures (you'll probably get annoyed), and updating you guys every week. My next post will probably be when I am in Italy, so I guess this is ciao for now. Wishing each and every one of you a Happy New Year!
Cheers,
Emma
